Out Like a Lion
As many of you may have noticed, this Spring has been less than favorable in many parts of the country, most noticeably the Northeast. A prolonged, severe winter has caused many delays all over the country. Many terminals had to close for days at a time.

 

We are now officially in Spring, and while temperatures in the Northeast may still not be ideal, the severe weather delays should be over and a higher truck availability, along with the commensurate lower rates, should present themselves in the coming weeks.

Rail as a carrier option
Less Than Truckload shipments can be moved via air, rail, truck, and water. Most of you are familiar with truck shipments as well as the occasional ocean or overnight shipment.  An option considered less often is the rail option.

While shipments moving via truck offer infinite inflexibility, rail shipments are subject to the schedules of the rail lines. This limited flexibility means savings to you, the consumer. If you have a shipment that can take its time reaching its final destination, rail can be a VERY cost effective option. If you would ever like us to consider a rail rate for you, please let us know and we would be more than happy to find a solution for you.

About the Team

 

Todd’s hockey team is currently in the playoff part of the season and doing well. As is part of the tradition in the sport, many players on the team are not shaving until they have lost and are out of contention. Todd is participating in this good-luck ritual and if he should come to visit you, this is why he is not clean shaven! If he has shaved, please offer him your condolences.
