Also, Todd will be taking his first real vacation since he stepped in to take over his father’s business. It has been over four years and he’s excited to take time off next month. He will be out from November 17th-25th. However, the full team will be in the office and ready to assist if there’s anything that you might need.

Freights of All Kind (FAK)
Has your company ever had an issue with reclasses by the carriers? These reclasses can cost your business thousands of dollars a year if the issue remains unchecked. The national classing regulations is a very complicated web and it can often be difficult to accurately class your freight.
An option to help reduce, or even eliminate this problem, is a Freight of All Kind pricing system, otherwise known as an FAK. This can be done through a CSP (Customer Specific Pricing) that we can negotiate on your behalf. A FAK will allow you to ship most of your freight at a flat class, thus eliminating the need to accurately class each shipment.
This time-saving pricing system is open for shippers who ship $10k or more worth of freight a month. This number helps give us negotiation leverage with the carriers as it’s a give and take. They want to be sure that this deal can fit into their pricing plan and still be profitable while shipping the freight at a lower cost.
Many carriers are trying to get away from FAK’s and are sticking to the density based classes. The catch is that with any other kind of business negotation there is a give and take. Most likely you won’t get the lower class but you won’t be forced to the higher class either. The carrier will find an average class between the two points and is mutually beneficial. Another catch is that having a higher class item and using a FAK to ship at a lower class, your freight will be rated at the lower class for any claim filed.

About the Team
Millennium Shipping is growing and so is our team!
We are pleased to announce our newest member of the Millennium Shipping team, Carolina. She will be working part time from 8a until 1pm. Her main duty will be the daily tracking of your freight. All shipments are already being tracked for pick ups but we want to be able to even more closely monitor its progress throughout its transit. You will receive notices for any missed pick ups or late deliveries.
In Carolina’s free time, she likes to read and particularly enjoys autobiographies. She also spends time volunteering for non-profit organizations like Rotary International. She enjoys spending time with her family and going on road trips with them.
She is quickly proving to be an asset to the company and we welcome her aboard!

On November 11th the Florida Panthers are offering half off tickets to any veteran or military personnel currently serving. As many of you may already know, Todd is an avid hockey fan and wants to offer two FREE seats to any veteran.
