The truckload market is an ever-changing pendulum based on the simple concept of ‘supply & demand’. Where trucks are needed but are scarce, the prices will be inflated. There are a few exceptions, such as moving a full truck into the state of Florida. If you’ve ever tried to run any full truck-loads into Florida, you will already know it can be very difficult mainly because it’s so tough for the drivers to get a load out. On the same note, prices are usually a lot better going out because drivers are so desperate to cover their costs.
This market changes daily which is why it’s best to get a truck-load quote and confirmation within 24-48 hours before you want to move the freight. The price you get on a Monday may not be the same price as later in the week. There have been situations of a quote in the morning but, because of the delay, come that afternoon that driver has already taken another load and you might get stuck with a higher price. It is always best to move quickly and be precise when getting a truck-load quote.
We are always here to answer your questions and quote your freight. We will do all that we can for our clients to get competitive rates.
