Todd has been out of town for the month of July for vacation and work.  Much like previous summers, he is also visiting friends and family in upstate New York.  This summer he has stayed longer than previous years because he is doing sales in the area.  His father had tried briefly to close an account or two in the upstate New York area, but was never successful. Todd thought it would be a small way to prove to himself and his dad that he could achieve this goal for the first time.

Todd will be back and available to meet with you starting on August 12th.  Please don’t hesitate to call or email him to schedule a meeting.  He will be around and in the area, stopping in when he can as soon as he returns.  Business is going well and we appreciate your continued support.  We hope you are enjoying your summer!

Central Transport
Some of you may be familiar with Central Transport.  Central Transport is a very inexpensive consolidator which we have used in the past.  Millennium Shipping has chosen to voluntarily block them as an option. While their rates are cheap, it is our experience of long transit times and unsatisfactory claim resolutions.
However, if a client requests to use them, we will honor that request.  Sometimes it makes sense if a shipment is not time sensitive and the commodity not susceptible to damage.
Beginning next month, Central Transport will be rolling out a new FAK available to all Globaltranz customers.  This is yet another move to lower their costs.  The FAK will cover all freight under specific classes.  As this new tariff becomes available, we will leave Central Transport blocked, so please let us know if you would like to use them as an option.
We want to reiterate again that this carrier is well known within the industry to have frequent and heavy delays in transit times.  They are also well known for damaging freight and poor customer service.

About the team
Ron Neumuth is a sales representative for Millennium Shipping.  Ron has 30 years in the trucking industry as well as 20 years in sales.  He has lived and worked in the Milwaukee, WI area for the last 27 years.

 

Ron is also an uncle of Todd’s on his mother’s side.  Paul Wasulko approached him about joining his team 6 months before he passed.  Ron has three children: his oldest son is in the Army and just finished a tour in Afghanistan.  His daughter lives in Alaska and is a manager of a tour company.  His youngest son is married and recently became a father.   He has proven himself to be a valuable sales team member.

This Sunday, Mark will be taking on his biggest athletic challenge of his life to date.  He will be racing in this year’s Ironman in Lake Placid, NY.  We wish him all the luck as he has our full support.  We will post results on our Facebook page first thing Monday morning.
Mark will be out of the office and unavailable Friday July 26th through Tuesday July 30th.  He will be back in the office on Wednesday July 31st.  Todd and Andrea will be in the office and available.
