Spring is here and we’re excited for the coming months as we have plenty lined up to keep us busy and better serve you!

I want to thank everyone who participated in January’s Girl Scout cookie drive.  My nieces were very appreciative and thank everyone who helped.  They accomplished their goal and sold 1104 boxes!

Custom Reports
We hope by now you have gotten more comfortable with the new carrierrate 2.0 system.  There is a particular section that we have received some very positive feedback on.  The reports seem to be of great value to some.  We want to bring more attention to this tab.  If you would like to set up a day and time, Todd can come in and review this tab with you in greater detail.
As soon as you roll your mouse over, you will see several different kinds of reporting tools.   We will be focusing on ‘Freight Spend’,

but there are several other highly useful reporting tools.

 

The ‘Freight Spend’ tool can help to show your spending per each carrier with the number of shipments from X to X dates.  It can further be broken down by cost per shipment and cost per pound.  It will even help to show you the cost per mile (this can be more useful when looking at TL).
At the top right of the screen, you can change the view of ‘List View’ and ‘Chart View’ for a more visual color breakdown.  Just below that, you will see ‘More Columns’ and here you can further customize your report by adding or subtracting different column titles to your liking.  These tools can be used on nearly all of the reporting tools.
 

About the Team
After a difficult season, Todd’s hockey team went into the playoffs with 6 wins and 11 losses!  They had to play the #1 team to get into the championship and it was a dog-fight all the way through.  They ended up with the win in overtime and got them to a best of three championship but swept it in two games.  It was a hard fight throughout the season and the team came out victorious in the end by winning the cup for the second season in a row!  Congratulations, Todd!

Contest
While on the subject of hockey and winning championships, the Florida Panthers are in a tight battle for first place in their division with their neighbors, The Tampa Bay Lightening.  They have now guaranteed a spot in the playoffs.  We will be running a contest for playoff tickets!
